We’re not sure how the driver, Tim Slavens, reacted to the crash, but things couldn’t have gone more smoothly all things considered. But as unbelievable as the unplanned flight was, the landing was more impressive. It flies some distance with the nose in the air, then levels out when the parachute deploys, remaining off the ground for another couple hundred feet to our eye. It looks like the driver lifted during the initial wheelie, but possibly got on the power a bit too soon, bouncing the front of the car when the tires hit the ground.
